Martina Krassnigg aka Miss Electric was born on the 9th of October 1982 in Leoben/STMK. Growing up in Styria she came in contact with electronic music for the first time in 1993/94. Only 12 years of age she already had a huge interest in this culture. Attracted by the succes of several dance-acts her interests changed to harder styles like hardcore and gabber. More and more the upcoming artist moved away from these agressive, smashing sounds and began to show interest in the true icons of the ninetees formally known as pioneers of the electronical scene like JUAN ATKINS and the german group KRAFTWERK. Shortly after that she had her first club attendances in the legendary Clubs NOVA and WILDSTYLE in Upperaustria. Surrounded by lack and leather, and an almost scary accumulation of piercings, weird clothings and other explicit trends, the underground beats gave her the rest. For the born styrian woman a point of no return was reached! After uncountless events of this musical and lifestyle experience she left this scene. Miss Electric decided to get behind the decks herself and bought her first decks and vinyls back in 2003. Shortly after that she did get her first gig in a lokal underground club called TUNNEL in Linz (OÖ), followed by other Gigs in Austria and Germany like Rauch Club Feldkirch, Nova Sattledt, Club Cazin Linz, Z6 Innsbruck, Club Douala Ravensburg, Tikal Club Mainz, Speicher Club Rostock, Club Le Dome Lindau....., and many more Partys & Events. The ultimate beginning of her career as a deejay started with the thought to arrange a positive vibe using solely electronic sounds. The styles she choose to achieve this vary from Deep, Minimal, walk over Minimal and Detroit/Minimal to Minimal/Techno. She started to climb up as a new member of FEMALE:PRESSURE and developed herself to the next level of producer in 2006. Since these early days she had some releases on the Labels MINDER; Orange Juice Rec.; and 3-B that flattened the way into a professional DJ career. Watch out for upcoming Releases. More Infos soon….
